Thorn for Parents

Puberty hasn’t gotten any less awkward since you went through it. But it’s definitely gotten more complicated. Nudes. Sexting. Bullying. Consent. The digital era adds new topics to the mix.

Thorn for Parents is dedicated to keeping kids safe in the digital era, and equipping parents with tools to help. I partnered with them to create content ranging from discussion guides to web copy to social posts, all focused meeting parents where they were, and empowering them to tackle difficult conversations with more knowledge and confidence.

Starting with the insight that it’s uncomfortable for almost all parents to talk with kids about puberty related topics, I built a messaging framework that meshed with the UX and UI approach, offering parents multiple ways to access the content, depending on age, topic, and comfort level.
